SCIENCE
Students will discuss and illustrate how electric currents work, and describe the flow of electricity.
We have had a great time admiring the circuit boards and electrical experiments the students have brought in. Learn by doing! I think that will be the motto of my class from now on!
HISTORY
Please have your children recite the preamble to the Declaration of Independence. We have enjoyed studying the concepts of independence.
We will be reviewing what we have learned these last couple of weeks, in preparation for their unit this week.
This was our last group to perform the Pilgrim adventure across the Atlantic.
Just a heads up! We will be finishing the year with a Westward Expansion Event. Please start collecting old clothing of the era (Daniel Boone Days) if you have some that we may borrow. Also, does anyone have the horseshoe game that we may use for our games of the era? A sign-up genius will be soon arriving for more complete details. I just thought I would let all of you know now.
MATH
We are having a lot of fun in math. They are finally learning and practicing vertical addition. We talk about the importance of lining up the ones and the tens place when adding.
